Did you watch any football this weekend? I couldn’t believe the pro games on the east coast … fields covered in snow, facemasks filled with snow and players in short-sleeved shirts!!! I was home in my sweatpants, sweatshirt and Uggs … inside the heated house … as I tell my kids, “I’m old and cold”! I braved the elements on Saturday … stayed warm and cozy on Sunday. This morning was 34°, pretty chilly for Los Angeles and snow in the mountains … it must be winter!
I kept myself busy …
These little guys have been in my head for sometime … came all together after seeing Love from the Oven’s Truffles . I had Peppermint Oreos that were just waiting to be used!
The snowmen make me smile and the trees remind me of something that would grow in Whoville or Candy Land! Hope you like the snowmen and trees as much as I do … of course, they are easy peasy to make 😉
Here is what you will need for this edible craft project …
- Rolo Minis
- Peppermint Oreos (or your favorite flavor)
- White Candy coating/melts (such as CandiQuik)
- Coarse white/clear sugar
- Gumballs, Sixlets & Pearls (from SweetWorks)
- Edible (food safe) markers – orange & black
- Large star sprinkles (not in photo)
Directions to make the snowmen …
Directions for the trees …
Helpful hint … if you have problems with candy slipping and not sticking, pull it away for a moment, then try again!
Thank you to Miss CandiQuik and SweetWorks for some of the supplies to create my indoor Sweet Winter Wonderland!

Brenda I love your winter edible wonderland. The trees do look like trees in whoville and little Cindy Lou who was not more than two… Very fun and very delicious. Happy holiday baking!!! Ps I have been using your spatula and little gift pack surprises again this season. Think of you often. Take care and stay warm
