If I could sing … I would … there goes Peter Cottontail, hoppin’ down the bunny trail! The truth is … I can’t sing and you really don’t want to hear me. What I can do … dip some Oreo cookies in chocolate and make Bunny Tail Pops … much better than hearing my out of key singing … tastier, too!
The back side of bunnies are soooo sweet.
These pops were pretty easy to make too! I used white chocolate, milk chocolate and then mixed the white and milk to create a light brown color.
All you need is …
Bunny Tail Pops
- Spring Oreo cookies (or any flavor)
- Mini marshmallows
- White non-pariels or white sanding sugar
- White chocolate candy coating/candy melts (1 pound will cover about 20 cookies)
- Milk chocolate candy coating/candy melts (1 pound will cover about 20 cookies)
- Pink candy melts (about 3 ounces)
- Lollipop sticks
- Wax paper lined tray or cookie sheet
Make the bunny tails by cutting a mini marshmallow in half and placing the sticky side in the non-pariels or sugar … for the feet – just cut marshmallows in half …
Melt the chocolate and set aside ….
Open the Oreo cookie by twisting it … place it in the microwave for about 10 seconds to soften the icing … now place a stick with a little melted chocolate on the icing, press the cookie back together (gently) and let the chocolate harden up …
Dip the Oreo in melted chocolate and tap off excess chocolate …
Lay the pop on wax paper … add the tail (sugar side up) and feet (sticky side down) … chill for a few minutes to harden the chocolate …
Use the pink chocolate to add “pads” to the feet …
Repeat these steps to make a million more … you know what they say about rabbits multiplying 🙂

I made these the other night with a bigger marshmallow for the tails, and they are adorable, but I didn’t stick mine in the fridge or freezer, I just let them harden on the counter as cold as it is out. I even saw pumpkin spice marshmallows while at Kroger the other night and thought these would be cute for a spotted tail bunny 😉

Great job Carrie 🙂 The fridge is certainly not necessary in some parts of the country this week! Pumpkin spice would be very cute and yummy … love that you made the bigger tails!
