Road Trip and a Giveaway!

Last weekend we drove to Las Vegas.

It was a nice little trip that can be summed up as a story of “lost” & “found”.

  • I lost my voice … then…
  • I found great chicken noodle soup at a deli in the Venetian Hotel.
  • I lost track of everyone that we were with … then …
  • We found this awesome chocolate fountain at the Bellagio Hotel …

  • I lost $20 in a slot machine … then …
  • I found out that I am a much better shopper than a gambler (I already knew that 🙂 )

This is one of the reasons I like to go to Las Vegas …

Who cares about Vegas … when you can go to the outlet mall?  Afterall, we have to drive right by it.  We may as well stop … right?

So … since I’m not a gambler … I did a little shopping.

I really like (and already own) several Williams-Sonoma silicone spatulas.  I found this one at the outlet store … with a cute little ladybug on it.  I bought it for one lucky person!

If you would like an opportunity to win her … tell me – how many spatulas do you own?   Leave your response in the comment section and you will be entered to win the spatula.  One entry per person, please.  All entries must be received by 11:59pm (PST), Wednesday, January  18, 2012.  A winner will be chosen at random and announced Thursday, January 19, 2012.  Good Luck!

  1. What an adorable spatula…I had to go to my utensil drawer and count my spatulas…I have 20 ranging from the small to large ones…they are all just plain ol’ spatulas…my prettiest one is my red one by Paula Deen. I sometimes hand it on my pot rack just to look at it. I love spatulas…they are one of the greatest kitchen tools ever and I use a spatula every day for something.

  3. I own 4 or 5 spatulas. 4 are boring white in various sizes. I bought a cute snowman spatula at Pier 1 for the holidays. The butterfly one will add pizzaz to my kitchen.

  4. I have 8…I just counted them. Most from the dollar store! I have seen that crazy fountain too..just awesome. I love the Bellagio…the first time we ever stayed there I was standing in line at one of the bars and a lady came behind me and yacked all over the back of me! It was gross….within what seemed like 2 minutes the customer service people had me buy a new shirt on them AND gave us a free night AND upgraded our room AND bought us dinner! I say that was being in the right place at the right time! HA! We never stay anywhere else now.

  5. Oh, my, I don’t have one this color or shape but sure would like to win this one.
I have 13 1/2 spatulas; all different sizes and shapes; long handled ones, short handled ones, some shaped like a scoop, etc. I use each and every one of them. Wondering about the 1/2; well the handle is broken off but I still use it. Just don’t have the heart to throw it away. Face it; I love kitchen utensils of all shapes, sizes, old or new.
    Thank you for this opportunity.

  6. That spatula is so cute! I love your site My daughter and I made the Christmas top hats and when I got home from our baking weekend I made the snow globes, they turned out so cute. Then I saw what you made for New Years and I just had to make them. We went to two parties and I brought several of them to the parties. I had a bit of trouble with clocks not because of anything you designed. The markers I used would not write on the cookies, so I used melted chocolate to make the numbers on the clock. Oh ya by the way I have 10 spatulas, 4 of them are pink, I wish they would make some purple ones.

  7. This really sounds pitiful, but I only have one silicon spatula. But, I protect it well, as I love it so much. I need more, but for now this one will do. Our little city doesn’t have much in the way of great kitchenware to buy. Would love to add another spatula to my great collection LOL. But I am sure there someone who needs its more than I do.
