This is a great adult or kids project … quick and easy.
This is what you will need …
- Oreo cookies covered in white chocolate (make your own or use ready-made)
- Small York peppermint patties
- Melted white chocolate (mine is in a squeeze bottle)
- Disco dust or shimmer dust (and a brush)
- Edible markers
- Ready made royal icing decorations or candies
- Snowflake sprinkles
Trim any uneven edges of the Oreos using a paring knife …
Draw a forest or something creative. Or attach an edible candy or royal icing decoration with melted chocolate …
Add sparkly snow. Disco dust truly looks like glitter, but it’s found at cake supply stores. Dip the edge of the brush into disco dust and tap the brush …
Use a little melted chocolate to attach the cookie snow globe to the candy base …
Aren’t these snow globes super simple?
It took me longer the type and upload pictures than it took me to make the snow globes!
I enjoy your comments and ideas …

So cute! I made these for my son’s preschool Christmas party. He loved them. I had a hard time finding the white chocolate oreos so I just dipped them myself. They really are easy to make. Thanks for the great idea

Dipping them is easy … it just takes time … but certainly more economical. I am glad that your son enjoyed them … I bet he was proud of his mom 🙂

I’m trying to make these. I can’t find the white chocolate oreos. So I’m dipping myself, but I can’t seem to get a nice smooth surface on top. Any tips on how I can make this work? I’m using a fork to dip. I lay the cookie on top and dunk…

Lay the cookie on the melted white chocolate, spoon white chocolate over the cookie to cover, use the fork to lift the cookie up and tap the fork on the edge of the bowl to remove excess chocolate and the top of the cookie should smooth out, drag the fork across the bowl edge and then lay the cookie on wax or parchment paper, pop in the fridge to firm up. Hope this helps 🙂
