This bark is so easy peasy! I make it every year due to popular demand. Milk chocolate, chewy caramel, salted peanuts … what’s not to love?
Let’s get started. This is what you will need …
- 1 pound milk chocolate
- 3/4 cup caramel bits (Target, Vons/Safeway, Wal-Mart)
- 3/4 cup salted peanuts
- white chocolate (for decoration)
Line a cookie sheet or tray (12″ x 18″) with wax paper or parchment. If you need directions to melt chocolate, click here. Melt the white chocolate and pour it in a squeeze bottle (if you want). Melt the milk chocolate and stir in nuts and caramel bits …
Spread it on prepared cookie sheet …
Drizzle white chocolate on top. If you don’t have a squeeze bottle, you could use a zip top bag (cut off a tiny corner) or just use a spoon or fork … no artist skills required … then pop the tray in the freezer or fridge for a few minutes, until hardened …
Break it into pieces …
I told you … it’s easy peasy!
I usually get two bags (12 ounces each) per batch.
Please excuse me … I need to get back to the kitchen. I have to make 15 – 20 more batches … I am not kidding … my hubby, a.k.a. The Peanut Butter Man … takes these to work every year.
Would you be able to use dark chocolate?

Sounds so good.
I am making a set salad, that has been a family favorite, this weekend for a party. The topping is marshmallows (soaked overnight in whipping cream), whipping cream and cream cheese. Makes a great topping for pumpkin pie too. I am going to try the French vanilla marshmallows. Didn’t even know there so many variations in marshmallows until I started reading your blog. 🙂

Nice recipe! I love chocolate and peanut butter. This is definitely a great gift to hand out for the holiday season. I love how you packed it too with a nice large red bow. Simple, but very adorable. I can’t believe you’re making 15 to 20 batches. That’s a lot of work. As long as it fun 🙂
Happy Holidays

This is sooo easy to make … I just set up an assembly line. It probably takes me two days to make the candy and package it. 🙂

Um, wow. My husband would flip for this. So would I, for that matter. Caramel and peanuts and chocolate? Amazing. And your photos are beautiful. Thanks for sharing on Crazy Sweet Tuesday!

Have you mailed this? I’m wondering if it ships well! I noticed in my hands it melts fairly easily! Soo delicious!!!!

Good question … I have mailed it. I would not recommend it in warmer weather (85 degrees F or up). Chocolate does melt in our hands, so … eat it quickly 🙂

How many cups is a pound of chocolate? I’ve read conversions online that suggest anywhere from 2 2/3 cups to 3 cups. In your pictures it seems like you use less than that. Can’t wait to try this recipe! Thanks

Hi Kathy! I used a liquid measuring cup and found that 3 cups is equal to 1 pound! The reason for using the liquid (Pyrex) measuring cup is because I use the same cup for melting the chocolate … one bowl clean-up 🙂
