Chocolate, Caramel and Salty Peanut Bark

This bark is so easy peasy!  I make it every year due to popular demand.  Milk chocolate, chewy caramel, salted peanuts … what’s not to love?

Let’s get started.  This is what you will need …

  • 1 pound milk chocolate
  • 3/4 cup caramel bits (Target, Vons/Safeway, Wal-Mart)
  • 3/4 cup salted peanuts
  • white chocolate (for decoration)

Line a cookie sheet or tray (12″ x 18″) with wax paper or parchment. If you need directions to melt chocolate, click here.  Melt the white chocolate and pour it in a squeeze bottle (if you want).  Melt the milk chocolate and stir in nuts and caramel bits …

Spread it on prepared cookie sheet …

Drizzle white chocolate on top.  If you don’t have a squeeze bottle, you could use a zip top bag (cut off a tiny corner) or just use a spoon or fork … no artist skills required … then pop the tray in the freezer or fridge for a few minutes, until hardened …

Break it into pieces …

I told you … it’s easy peasy!

I usually get two bags (12 ounces each) per batch.

Please excuse me … I need to get back to the kitchen.  I have to make 15 – 20 more batches … I am not kidding … my hubby, a.k.a. The Peanut Butter Man … takes these to work every year.

Please feel free to leave a comment!

  1. Sounds so good.
I am making a set salad, that has been a family favorite, this weekend for a party. The topping is marshmallows (soaked overnight in whipping cream), whipping cream and cream cheese. Makes a great topping for pumpkin pie too. I am going to try the French vanilla marshmallows. Didn’t even know there so many variations in marshmallows until I started reading your blog. 🙂

  3. Nice recipe! I love chocolate and peanut butter. This is definitely a great gift to hand out for the holiday season. I love how you packed it too with a nice large red bow. Simple, but very adorable. I can’t believe you’re making 15 to 20 batches. That’s a lot of work. As long as it fun 🙂

    Happy Holidays

  7. How many cups is a pound of chocolate? I’ve read conversions online that suggest anywhere from 2 2/3 cups to 3 cups. In your pictures it seems like you use less than that. Can’t wait to try this recipe! Thanks

    • Hi Kathy! I used a liquid measuring cup and found that 3 cups is equal to 1 pound! The reason for using the liquid (Pyrex) measuring cup is because I use the same cup for melting the chocolate … one bowl clean-up 🙂
